About Me
Hey guys! I am a native Washingtonian, wife & mother of two. My story is much like most women who have struggled to regain their body, love-of-self, and emotional confidence while going through life’s challenges. Eating became my biggest comfort in dealing with these challenges, and little by little 100 extra pounds of guilt and shame became my newest reality.
My wake-up call was looking in the mirror and not recognizing the person staring back at me, nor being familiar with the pain & illnesses associated with this new body. I had become a different person, but I knew, deep down inside, that I loved myself more than the stranger I had become. By the grace of God, consistency, and determination, I crawled out of depression and into a life filled with rejuvenation and purpose through healthy eating and daily exercise. Heal the mind and the body will follow! Tap into your emotional center and you'll discover the TRUE Beauty N YOU!

Hi Lisa,
Thats cleaver!!
You got me on this one tonight. I normally try to stay ahead with the challenges, but I was caught off guard. You always teach us to stay alert, focused and ready at all times. Thank you.

I was so intent on making sure I made it to class tonight because work has been keeping me from my workouts. I just forgot to check your blog. Will definitely attempt to check more frequently.

Wow Ms. Lisa!
What can I say?
Your class is awesome! When entering your class, I weighed 203lbs. at 5’3” wearing a size 18. Now, I’m happy to say, that I am now wearing a size 14 and 18 lbs. lighter. I am a much happier wife, mother and employee. I am more confident in my ability to get things done. However, most of all, I thank God for your dedication and commitment in helping to restore healthy bodies to anyone that is willing to [PUT THE WORK IN.] Thank you for your TLC in helping to restore my health, and bringing a since of structure and discipline back into my life. You are more than an instructor; you’re a woman of God, and my sister in Christ. Thank you and may God richly bless you, and return unto you a hundredfold in all that you do towards helping others maintain a healthy life style.
Thanks again,
Wanda
I must say that I have enjoyed my kickboxing/taebo, free weights and hands on training experience while attending Lisa Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 class since March 2009. I have been working out with Lisa at the least two to three days a week. I must say that I never weighed myself at the beginning of Cycle 2 and Cycle 3, but I have noticed a tremendous amount of inches lost and I have dropped a pant size, working on dropping another pant size.
Since joining Lisa‘s class, I have learned a great deal about what I am capable of achieving when pushed (motivated) and have found that Lisa ‘s class have a variety of aerobic/kickboxing movements and weekly challenges and this also keep me motivated to strive for greater results. I will encourage everyone to tell all their friends, family colleagues, how Lisa’s class has inspired me and many others to be the best that we can be.. I look forward to more of the group type classes and challenges for the upcoming year 2010. Lisa keep up the outstanding work, the motivation and lastly keep the music going an we all keep “PUTTIN THE WORK IN”
Love yah
